These four things are at the top of the list for most newcomers:
Registering with the city
Within 14 days of moving in you must register at the district office. As your landlord we file the move-in notification — you handle your personal registration, and our guide walks you through it.
Opening a bank account
For a Swiss account you need your passport and residence permit (or the registration confirmation). Many banks offer online opening in English.
Public transport pass (ZVV)
Zurich's tram, bus and S-Bahn network is excellent. A ZVV monthly pass for the city zone pays off from day one — available at any station or in the app.
Health insurance
Basic health insurance is mandatory and must be taken out within 3 months of arrival — it then applies retroactively from your entry date.

Kreis 4 — urban & central
Lively district with restaurants and bars, 15 minutes to the main station. This is where our business apartments are located.
Altstetten — affordable & quiet
The most affordable option with plenty of calm — ideal for families and longer stays, 15 minutes to the centre by S-Bahn.
Kreis 3 — residential & relaxed
A homely district between the city and Üetliberg with cafés and green spaces — popular with young families.

Frequently asked questions from expats
Can I book before I arrive in Switzerland? +
Yes, that is the normal case. You book by email or form from abroad, we show you the apartment via video call, and everything is ready when you move in.
Which documents do I need? +
Only an identity document and a credit card. From two months onwards, one month's rent as a deposit and the CHF 200 processing fee after acceptance are added — a Swiss credit history or debt register extract is not required.
Does the apartment help me register in Zurich? +
Yes. As your landlord we file the move-in notification with the city, and you receive all documents you need for your personal registration at the district office.
How long can I stay? +
As long as you like: from single nights to several months, extendable month by month. Many expats stay 2–6 months until they have found a long-term home.
Will my employer cover the costs? +
Often yes — many companies pay for interim housing during relocation. On request, we issue the invoice directly to your employer.
